The Windsor Equestrian Team had a very successful 2015/2016 season! We kicked off the year by hosting the very first OUEA show of the season. This year we hosted the show in Windsor, for the very first time!
The team also hosted multiple fundraisers over the course of the season, which included two bake sales at the local tack stores and a fundraiser held at PubClub.
The team gathered many times throughout the year having movie nights, a Christmas party, rookie welcome night, pajama parties and a trip to the local trampoline park Springz!
All riders had a great season, making large improvements and achieving many personal goals. With money from the fundraisers the team was able to have two group lessons at Ironstone Stables, adding valuable tools to their catch riding tool-box.
Windsor also had four riders qualify for the OCEA Finals held at the PanAm Equestrian Park this year. Leah Brownlie, Rachel Brandner, Alex Leishman and Vanessa Wharram all made us very proud and even took home a few ribbons.
All riders worked very hard throughout the season, many finishing in the top 10 overall standings for the season in their divisions. The Windsor Equestrian team also took home the Spirit Award!
